One of our new discoveries from our trip to Mykonos was the restaurant LAMED, which I had already mention in my post for Mykonos (coolurstyle.com/en/mykonoooooooos), saying that I will write more about it and here I am. Firstly, I like the combinations of the colors of the place there, the sandy beige together with the trees and the blue of the sea in front, it gives you the sense that you were somewhere in the middle of a dessert and you found your oasis. Not to mention the bohemian decoration -love it- and of course the delicious food that satisfies even the most difficult ones. Honestly, whatever we ate that day was amazing, and what if we were full from the starters, we ate all the courses we had ordered with the result not to be able to move -a typical thing that happen to greeks when they eat in restaurants, haha- but we couldn't do otherwise, so delicious to resist!!
We checked at the menu lot of times but we let our friend Thanasis Panourgias (one of the owners of LAMED) to choose for us and thank god we did because everything was amazingly and honestly speaking we ate them all!
We started with the famous greek salad, xortiatiki -of course-, an exquisite fish roe salad, a delicious appetizer with sprat fish and baked tomatoes -I think I ate the most of eat- and crispy baby kalamari with pesto sauce, I didn't want to order this at the beginning because it was a fried dish but I couldn't resist and I am glad I didn't, as it was the best kalamari I have ever eaten, -it was worth the calories!
Για κυρίως πήραμε στην μέση -αν και είχαμε τερματίσει ήδη από τα πρώτα- τραγανιστό σολωμό με κρούστα ντομάτας και κινόα και σκιουφικτά μακαρόνια με γαρίδες και δεντρολίβανο, ειλικρινά δεν έχω λόγια! Ίσως έπρεπε να σας τραβήξω μια φωτοφραφία με τα πεντακάθαρα πιάτα που έπερνε ο σερβιτόρος από το τραπέζι μας, καθώς δεν είχαμε αφήσει τίποτα... και ναι είμασταν μόνο τρεις γυναίκες.. (Ντροπή μας!!!)
At the end we had a chocolate profiterol with strawbberies, because we had a little space in our bellies and we had to fill it up!!! They say that the sea opens your appetite adn it's true, but we have to find what closes her as well, xoxo!!!! A walk to LAMED though, makes even the fit and diet ones make an exception!!
The restaurant has a private beach in front with sunbeds, yes the huge ones that most of the beaches in Mykonos have, and I can tell that this time next year LAMED can be a serious competitor of the famous Psarrou beach and Nammos!!!
Congradulations to Papadopoulos, Bitharas, Kitsinelis and Panourgias, they did a really great job there, I trully didn't find anythingnot good to mention...
